"A century of pressing. The same stone mountains. The same uncompromising standard."
Frantoio Diglio, Sannio, Campania -- Est. 1925Every Chiarizio bottle is pressed at Frantoio Diglio -- one of the oldest continuously operating olive mills in the Sannio mountains of Campania, founded in 1925 in Durazzano, just minutes from Sant'Agata de' Goti. For a century this mill has done one thing, and done it without compromise.
The Chiarizio family's own olives -- grown in the mountains near Sant'Agata de' Goti -- are brought to this mill for pressing. The result is oil that carries both the character of our land and the discipline of a craft refined over ten decades. Old-world expertise, family fruit, one extraordinary oil.
Frantoio Diglio opens in Durazzano, Sannio. The original press runs on a mule-driven millstone and hand-operated machinery. Oil is stored in clay jars. From the first press, the standard is uncompromising.
Across three decades, the mill earns its standing in Campania. Growers from across the Sannio region bring their olives here knowing the press will honor the fruit. Quality, not volume, is the measure of every harvest.
The mill is upgraded with a continuous-cycle cold-press system -- extending capacity while raising quality. The new equipment preserves polyphenols, aroma, and character that older methods could not protect.
The Chiarizio family's olives, grown in the mountains near Sant'Agata de' Goti, are now pressed here. A century of milling expertise applied to fruit from our own land -- that is what goes into every bottle.
A visit to Frantoio Diglio in the Sannio mountains -- the press, the groves, and where every Chiarizio bottle begins.
